Hi

I'm Kit. I lift, I write software, and Heart of Yours started as the workout log I wanted for myself. Then it didn't stop, somehow.

Don't build a fitness app, they said. There are hundreds already, they said. I know. I am a bit of a rebel that way. A passion in need of a better application (see what I did there?).

What I also am is a millennial who remembers the good days of the Internet. Not everything was a subscription, a lot of things were free. I miss those times. I miss that world, too.

What I made:

  • A log that gets out of your way. It’s an app that wants to be used less. No scrolling, do your thing and get back to your life, come back tomorrow. Get a little better, eh.
  • Don’t need an account, don’t need to be online. Might get some goodies if you are, though.
  • iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Android, API, MCP. Tech is nigh free these days and I just happen to know a bit of it.
  • Ready-made lifting programs with the research behind them, your own templates and folders, records, charts, goals. Wait, actually, I made these to fix my own workouts.
  • You can bring your history from Strong or Hevy. You can leave any time too, take your data with you.

Two promises:

  • What shipped free stays free. If something paid ever shows up, it'll be new and probably something you asked for.
  • Health data stays on your phone.

This sub is for bugs, requests, questions, and showing off new stuff. I read everything. I'm the whole team, plus a few AI agents I keep on a leash.
